Our platform has been designed to help you easily meet other English speakers and connect with great speaking partners! There are many ways to make new English-speaking friends but it takes a bit of initiative from your end too!

1. The best way to meet new friends to speak with and get to know other members is to join any of the live group conversation events happening each day in our community. 

Our Coaches run events related to our conversation topic, our Big Sisters host casual, social events to meet other ladies and members host events and study groups too.

Just like meeting people in real life, you may not gel with everyone that you meet here, but hopefully, you will find many who you feel a *spark* with - those are the ones who you need to reach out to!

How? Right after you finish an event and click the Leave button, you'll be taken to a screen with the profiles of the ladies who just joined that event with you. This is the best place and time to connect - so send them a message (or use one of our pre-written ones), keep the conversation, and perhaps even organise another time to meet online!

2. You can also go to the Members page and use the search tool to find ladies based on available times to practise English, interests, occupation or location. Flip their profile card and see how much you have in common with them, plus suggested times to meet! Once you've found someone who interests you, send a message, say hello and organise to chat!

3. Lastly, take our recommendations! All of the profiles you see on the Homepage are recommended for you by Hey Lady! based on your English level, interests and availability (so make sure your profile is kept up-to-date!)

Remember, just like any friendship, your relationships in our community will grow stronger with time and attendance. Many of our members have made life-long friendships in this community 🥰
