What is a Big Sister at Hey Lady!?

Our Big Sisters are the heart and soul of our community — true superstars who have walked the same path as every new member in Hey Lady! They are long-time, passionate members who openly stand up for our community values: they’re kind, supportive, welcoming, and deeply committed to helping others grow and thrive. 🌟

Big Sisters know exactly what it’s like to feel nervous, hesitant, or unsure when starting something new. They’ve been there too — and now, they’re here for you, to help you feel those sparks that make the difference when meeting new people in Hey Lady!  ✨

What do Big Sisters do?

Big Sisters volunteer their time to make sure new members feel welcomed, included, and connected inside our community. They’ll be your first friend, your encourager, your guide, and your cheerleader as you explore everything Hey Lady! has to offer. 

They are here to help you find the perfect conversation group partners, open spaces to introduce you to others with similar interests through their creative conversation events. 💕

They help you find your people by hosting amazing events that connect and foster a sense of community and thriving together. Some of them are book clubs, study groups, casual chit-chats, game events, and events related to our monthly topic, all designed to spend time with friends and learn something new.

Are Big Sisters available in my time zone? 

Yes, the Big Sister team is constantly growing. Currently, there are 16 Big Sisters in the Hey Lady! community, always here for you – wherever you join us from! 🌍

Our Big Sister team is present from almost every corner of the globe, which means there’s someone available in your time zone ready to support you. You’re never alone on your journey, no matter where you live. 

When you join Hey Lady! the Big Sister Team is right there waiting to help you feel welcomed and supported from day one. They know exactly how it feels to be nervous and hesitant when in a new place; therefore, they are thrilled to be your helping hand, making you feel safe, supported, and empowered.

The best way to connect with a Big Sister is by joining their events: Big Sisters constantly host events created specially for you as a new member, to help you get started, answer questions and help you find people with similar interests to help you start your English journey with confidence and support from like-minded ladies. Your Big Sister is always there to support and guide you through your journey! 🩷
