I've just logged in! What should I do first?

Welcome to Hey Lady! We're thrilled you are here and so excited to help you become a more confident and fluent English speaker!
The first thing you need to do is complete our New Member Getting Started checklist on the homepage (or access it here) so you can unlock all features on the platform: you'll be able to see our full event list, join Live Coffee Tables, start instant video calls and create and host events ✨
Watch 4 short videos and learn all about the Hey Lady! Way, our values and joining events
To keep our community safe, we do not allow anyone to join video calls or chat with other members until they've been verified. Record a short video introducing yourself to get verified within 24 hours.
Review what you learned in the videos!
Your profile is where you can share a little about yourself and help you match with other members and suitable speaking partners.
After you've completed these onboarding steps, you're ready to join events! When you first join, you will need to join 3 community events before unlocking all events hosted by our Coaching team and members.
Join any that interest you, but the community events that we recommend you first join are:
1. A New Member Welcome event run by our Community Team
2. Any event that is hosted by a Big Sister (an experienced member who volunteers inside the community)
These events are great places for you to meet someone from our community team plus other new members, get a tour of some important features on the platform and have any of your questions answered about getting started!
